The Westend Bed Company showroom in East Sheen, south-west London, is the only place in the UK to try and buy a Marshall & Stewart bed. Westend Bed Company is the authorised showroom partner for Marshall & Stewart in London, and it handles showroom bookings.

A sleep consultation is free, takes about an hour, and no purchase is expected. You try different beds and talk through how you sleep, so you can judge each one by how it feels rather than by photographs.

What happens at a sleep consultation

The Diamond Collection

The Diamond Collection is six beds handmade in the UK from natural materials, each with a 25-year guarantee on springs and frames.

• Koh-i-Noor: our flagship, a 3,000-spring mattress on a divan of hand-lashed hourglass springs.
• Cullinan: a 3,000-spring mattress on a divan with two rows of springs, one Bonnell and one pocketed, for depth of support.
• Florentine: a 2,000 pocket-spring mattress with cotton, English wool and hand-teased horsetail, for structure and firm support.
• Orloff: the Florentine mattress on the Koh-i-Noor base, for firm precision.
• Sancy: a 1,500 pocket-spring mattress with a gentler, more yielding surface, on the same base as the Florentine.
• Hortensia: shares its mattress design with the Sancy, on a base built by a specialist framemaker, with optional integrated storage drawers.
