Lauras' Fine Linens is situated in the heart of the Mashonaland district of Zimbabwe, 100 km from Harare. This community-based industry produces exquisite hand embroidered bed and table linen, the quality and unique styling of which ensures that it will become a treasured heirloom. The company harnesses the creative talent of the local women and trains them in the art of embroidery and in the process, creates work opportunities and skills which help the people achieve financial independence and give them the means to support their families. The sheeting used is made from 100% Zimbabwean hand-picked cotton which has not been genetically modified.

The cool comfort of crisp cotton made from pure natural fibre and the lovely embroidery evokes the luxurious living of a bygone era. This quality sheeting is made up into the required items by a local tailor who is based on site. The beautiful designs, all created by Laura, are transposed onto the linen by trained women and then brought to life through the flawless embroidery. Each item is carefully washed, ironed and individually packed.

Attention to detail at every stage of production ensures that the final product is of the highest standard. The bed linen range includes pillowcases, sheets, valances and duvets from cot to king size. They can make special sizes to order and will also do personalised monograms. Duvets come with an immaculately hand-stitched button closure. All Products are easy to care for and are machine-washable and come with care instructions. Because of the care taken and the nature of the business it takes 6-8 weeks for items to be completed.
